Festive open Competence center on 26.2.2009

OKsystem is launching the Competency Center for DW and BI OKsystem, the leading company in providing comprehensive design and development of application software, implementation and systems integration services, business intelligence, security and smart card solutions, announced the opening of Data Warehouse Business Intelligence Competence Centre in Prague. The main goal of the competence centre is to help customers and prospects better understand the DW and BI technology and to make it easy to design and test such solutions including specialized computer platforms.

The Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence Competency Center (DWBICC) supports the promotion and application of modern technologies for data integration, analysis, more effective decision making and the management of companies, as well as public administration organizations. DWBICC has support from significant global technology vendors Hewlett-Packard and Oracle and offers its services for customers from region of Central and Eastern Europe.

DWBICC combines a detailed knowledge of current software and hardware technologies, methodologies and project management with expert knowledge and practical experience from the field of data warehouses (DW) and business intelligence (BI). DWBICC has at its disposal extensive office, training and conference premises and also complete infrastructure prepared for immediate use.

DWBICC infrastructure is selected so that for the individual DW and BI components it uses products from several suppliers and thus enables the independent evaluation of possible variants and the design of such a configuration of hardware and software as best complies with the customer requirements. The considered variants and designed configuration can be tested out immediately in practice with the use of real customer data.

OKsystem took part in realization of the large data warehouse and implementation of the analytical system based on HP Neoview platform and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition for the Czech Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA) in the last year. The project was honored with prestige HP Software Awards of Excellence, Business Intelligence. Representatives of MoLSA took over the award during HP Software Universe 2008 conference in Vienna at the end of 2008.
