Data warehouses and business intelligence
The company OKsystem s.r.o. provides comprehensive services in the field of data warehouses and business intelligence. On 26.2.2009 it officially opened its own Competence Centre for data warehouses and business intelligence (DWBICC) at the company headquarters. The aim of this competence centre is to provide those interested with the possibility of acquainting themselves with and testing in practice the latest DW/BI technologies, including specialised computer systems.
The competence centre supports the development and application of modern technologies for data integration, analysis, more effective decision making and management of manufacturing and trading companies and public administration organisations.
DWBICC has support from significant global manufacturers of the technologies of the companies Hewlett-Packard and Oracle. It offers its services for customers from the region of Central and Eastern Europe. DWBICC combines a detailed knowledge of current software and hardware technologies, methodologies and project management with expert knowledge and practical experience in the area of data warehouses (DW) and business intelligence (BI).
DWBICC has extensive office, training and conference premises available and also has a complete infrastructure prepared for immediate use.
The infrastructure of DWBICC is selected in such a way that for the individual parts of data warehouses and business intelligence it uses components of several suppliers, and thus makes it possible to evaluate independently the possible variants and design such a configuration of hardware and software as best complies with the requirements of the customer. The considered variants and proposed configuration can be tested in practice immediately with the use of real data of the customer.
Last year OKsystem participated in the implementation of an extensive data warehouse on the platform HP Neoview and the implementation of the analytical system with the use of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition for the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. This project gained the prestigious Award of Excellence for the area of business intelligence from the company Hewlett-Packard, which the representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs accepted upon the occasion of the international conference HP Software Universe 2008, held from 9. to 11. December 2008 in Vienna.
