I work as a system administrator in a factory for production of packing glass. Our network technology is built exclusively on a Cisco platform and this was also one of the reasons why my employer set me the task of undergoing ICND1 and ICND2 certified training required for Cisco CCNA certification.

After thorough consideration, I decided on OKsystem. I have already undertaken several training courses in the past and already knew the conditions relatively well. The price was also a decisive factor, this being roughly half that as compared with the competition.

Despite the fact that this concerned certified training, everybody received original Cisco training materials. The trainer’s knowledge was on a very high professional level and he had no problem during the course answering any questions whatsoever. His manner was pleasant and if necessary, he operationally adapted the speed of the training course to suit the current requirements of the participants.

I have dealt in administration of NetWare servers for several years now. Predominantly NetWare 4.11. The new product Novell OES contains 2 platforms, these being NetWare 6.5 and SLES 9. These reasons quite naturally let to the need for Linux system training.

The N3036 training course in Basics of SUSE Linux, held by OKsystem fulfilled my expectations precisely. Over the course of the 3 days, I familiarised myself with the basics of Linux, which I had known very little about until that time. The training course saved me a great deal of time, which I would otherwise have spent on self-study, which would not have been anything like as effective.

The very accommodating and professional approach of the trainer and excellently elaborated manuals from Novell provided very valuable knowledge, which is immediately usable in practice and which can be further built on in terms of further training in Linux. Either in the form of self-study or even better, by continuing with the connected training courses, N3037 in Administration of SUSE Linux and N3038 in Advanced administration of SUSE Linux.

Another great advantage is that the skills gained can also be used for other Linux distributions. Although in my case this will of course be SUSE Linux.

I certainly have a positive opinion on training, this being for several reasons. Although the course corresponds to a greater extent only to theoretical problems, thanks to many examples, the course participant has at his or her disposal situations which represent the most frequent use of ISA servers in organisations (apart from basic functions, an emphasis is also placed on LAN-to-LAN, VPN, application and web filters etc.). The greatest merits of the course, apart from the very pleasant environment and equipment of the classroom, above all include the trainer – Mr. Jiří Hýzler, who really does have a wide range of practical experience and also experience with other systems. As I stated in the questionnaire – He is a true professional, and I think that it is precisely people such as him or for example Ing. Ivo Rosol. Csc. Who are able to talk about the material they are lecturing on in a more enjoyable and clearer manner than in the Microsoft Official Course books, and it is precisely these people who make OKsystem a great company. I would also like to mention the slight deviations and supplementations, during which the course participant has the opportunity of supplementing his or her knowledge even outside of the MOC textbooks. The possibility of undertaking the same course once again free of charge really is generous and I regard this fact, the same as the possibility for course graduates to call technical support, as a great plus point!

I would also like to add that on the basis of knowledge gained from the M2824 course in Microsoft ISA Server 2004 - administration, I successfully passed the 29-350 test and thus joined the MCP family.

Although a lot of things in this training course were things that an experienced administrator of Unix and Linux systems already knows, even I found many things of benefit in the content of the training. I underwent ICND1 and ICND2 training courses with OKsystem as preparation for CCNA certification. The trainer’s professional knowledge was on a very high level. He was able to respond to all questions without any problems and his overall behaviour was very pleasant. I also assess the fact that I participated in the ICND2 course on my own and the course still took place in a very positive light. I have not come across this approach before.
In conclusion, I can only recommend OKsystem and its Cisco courses.

This time I was impressed by certain technical details with regards to operation of X window which were dealt with in terms of the training programme on the N3036 training course for Basics of SUSE Linux and also the great willingness of the trainer, ing. Landa, to answer all questions posed relating to the topic of the training course. The environment of OKsystem is excellently adapted to suit the needs of the trainee, also from the point of view of catering and possibility of purchasing specialist literature. Over the course of my career path, I have undertaken tens of different authorised training sessions with GOPAS, EIITE, GAMO Bratislava and Novell Dusseldorf, but I feel at home in your training courses.

My colleague Mr. Novotný and I underwent the N3036 training course – Basics of SuSE Linux. Our impressions from the training course are
a) positive:
- the trainer was excellent, on a professionally suitable level and yet presented the material in as interesting a manner as was possible – the scope of training corresponded to what we wanted. Although we would welcome more detailed commentary in places, it was clear that nothing more could be included in a three-day programme.
b) less positive
- in the case of training courses of this type, it should probably be possible (apart from the quality materials in English) to add some Czech text or other, which could for example supplement the English manual.
